Our current wine list is a selection of our personal favourites which we think are ideal for current drinking.  Our philosophy here is that small is beautiful.  Rather than having an extensive list of over 500 wines as is the case for many, I feel that the skill of a good buyer is to make life as simple as possible for customers.  With 16 years’ buying experience I should be doing the work, selecting wines from around the world which reflect the best of their vintage and the region from which they come.  The list concentrates on wines up to £25 a bottle. We are particularly proud of our Fine Wine List which includes some of the finest wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy and  the Rhône Valley, as well as a unique selection of premium quality estate German wines and fine vintage port.  All the wines have a guarantee of provenance, the wines marked under bond being stored in a leading UK bonded warehouse in temperature controlled conditions and the duty paid stock being stored in the same warehouse or in the wine cellar at the DRD offices.

Our En Primeur Offers represent my true love of wine and the relationship we have with some of the greatest wine producers in the world.  The most exciting part of the wine trade is not only sharing discoveries with clients but going out and finding these wines and meeting the people who make them.  An important part of my role as an independent wine merchant is time spent in the vineyards and cellars, assessing the qualities of the vintage as a whole and the individual wines themselves.  The En Primeur Offers are the first releases from a given region of wines not yet in bottle and therefore experience is vital and they provide an insight into the vintage and my individual tasting notes.
